FORMER EMPLOYEE PLEADS GUILTY FOR UNLAWFULLY ENTERING THE U.S. CAPITOL BUILDING

Ronald Andrulonis, a former Amtrak junior tamper, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, District of Columbia, to a misdemeanor charge of Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds. The plea stems from his arrest on March 2, 2023, for charges involving his participation in the events inside the United States Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

 

Incident to his arrest on March 2, 2023, Andrulonis was found transporting a firearm in his vehicle while on company property. After his disciplinary hearing on September 14, 2023, he was terminated from employment on September 20, 2023.
